Jean-Christophe Geiser (CH)
The Cathedral of Lausanne’s Grand Organ is Switzerland’s largest pipe organ and largest instrument overall. Its case, drafted by illustrious Italian designer Giugaro, represents a stylized angel with its wings unfurled. Its pipes, all 7400 of them, allow the instrument to showcase the four main organ styles. Organist Jean-Christophe Geiser will outline each style by playing four distinct pieces.
The performance will be followed by a guided tour of the instrument.
