Haïg Sarikouyoumdjian (AM)
If there is one instrument that symbolizes the Armenian soul, it is the duduk. The instrument produces a sound so gentle and melancholic, it feels ethereal. Haïg Sarikouyoumdjian is well versed in the magic and the subtle nuances of this particular sound. He integrates different types of music, such as Armenian, contemporary and jazz, to complete his art.
The musician collaborated with the great Jordi Savall on several projects such as Istanbul, Mare Nostrum, The Cathar Tragedy and Armenian Spirit.
