The idea that Turkish music has the wind in its sails is a euphemism, and so is saying that Bongo Joe Records has a good ear for discovering the most promising artists.

If Altin Gün knew how to get himself noticed all over Europe since 2018, a tour by Derya Yildirim should follow pretty quickly. The young German-Turkish singer composes the pieces with her cosmopolitan group (an English drummer and three French musicians), belting out unyielding pure, traditional Anatolian 60’s and 70’s psychedelic folk.
