Festival de la Cité 2019 runs from Tuesday, July 9 to Sunday, July 14, 2019.
The Festival site opens on the following hours:
Tuesday to Saturday - 5:30 PM | Sunday - 5:00 PM
The Festival's information booth is located on the Talus Curtat. It is open from 5:30 PM until midnight.
Returnable dishes
This year, to limit the single-use plastic during the festival, plates and cutlery will be returnable.
The foodtrucks will serve you in thoses dishes, you pay the deposit at the same time as your dish: 2 CHF per plate, 2 CHF per bowl, 1 CHF per fork, 1 CHF per knife.
You can return the dishes in the following bars: Estafette (Pierre Viret road), Esplanade (Cathédrale Sud), Face Nord (Cathédrale Nord), Saint Grancy de Montbenon (Cour du Gymnase), Château (place du Château)
This edition, everything is happening around La Cité neighbourhood, located in the heart of Lausanne.
How do you spot our staff members? Keep an eye out for those wearing this year's t-shirt.
Parents out there who want to attend? The Festival de la Cité Lausanne offers an on-site childcare service between 6:30 and 11:00 PM from Tuesday, 9 to Saturday, 14 July 2019. Your children will be supervised by professionals who will keep them entertained with fun and creative activities. If you need a quiet spot to change your kids, you are also welcome here.
The childcare area is located at Cité CVE (Centre de Vie Enfantine), rue Ch.-Vuillermet 3-5.
This service is free of charge. Maximum duration of 3 hours. Available to children ages 4 to 10. Spots are subject to availability (maximum of 24 kids).
During the Festival, seek what you lost or drop off what you found at our Staff Office, located in the Ancienne Académie building of the Gymnase de la Cité. The Staff Office is available from 2 to 4 pm during the Festival. Do not hesitate to call 021 311 03 75 or send us a line to info@festivalcite.ch if you wish to recover any item you may have lost.
Once the event is over, the Festival Office (021 311 03 75 / info@festivalcite.ch) will remain open from July 15to July 30, 2019.

The first aid station is at the top of the market stairs in the “Salle des Français,” Place de la Cathédrale 1.
The Festival de la Cité Lausanne is working with Protect Service to patrol the Festival site at night.
Protect Service works closely with both the police and fire departments to ensure your safety, so you can focus on making the most out of the festivities!
